Plot Summaries Not Added

I submitted 2 plot outlines for 2 different titles but neither are on the "plot summary" page. I submitted these outlines with the intent of having them displayed on the main page right next to the primary image. The reason for doing this is because both titles have inadequate outlines.

How do I get these outlines added and how do I get them to replace the current plot outlines next to the primary image? Outline approvals below...

We quite recently had some discussions of the Plot Outlines (it went a bit sour, but anyway). Are you trying to ”correct/replace” the existing Outline? Or are you trying to add a new one (and maybe delete the current one)? Also, did you try to change the existing ”author name” (by:line)?

I mean IMDb is not Wikipedia, so the person who added the original Outline cannot be replaced just like that. Typos/grammar, mistakes and spoilers should be corrected, but it’s not guaranteed that you could replace the existing Outline altogether.

But IMDb staff should comment more.

Hi there--I tried both approaches. First I tried deleting the existing outlines and that didn't work. Then I tried revising the existing outlines, nor did that work. Now I'm trying to add my own and hope that they can replace the current outlines. It's frustrating because the current outlines are incomplete and I can't believe no one will replace it with a legitimate outline.

I have not tried changing the "author name." I always submit as Anonymous.

Hi there, to clarify, you're mentioning plot summaries, but the section you're referring to is a plot outline. Are you attempting to modify the plot outline, or the plot summary? Thank you!

Elizabeth, this was also mentioned (by me) in the earlier thread. I believe both the Outline and the Summary go to under ”Plot Summaries”. Meaning, that there are no Plot Outline ”to click”. Or am I missing something?

Elizabeth--I'm adding plot outlines so it can appear next to the primary image on the main page. I said my outline does not appear on the "plot summary page" because all outlines and synopsis' appear on that page; there is no separate plot outline page.

Thanks for your post.

Plot outlines should be no longer than 239 characters.

When you submit a plot that is over that character limit it will be submitted as a plot summary.
