Plot Page Update

We would like to announce an update to our Plot page. We have consolidated our mini Plot Summaries and full Title Synopsis content into a single experience, providing one page to display all plot detail.  As part of this update, we have also turned off our old wiki Synopsis contribution experience, integrating Title Synopsis into our standard submission form, enabling Synopsis contribution from all registered users and removing past contribution limitations.  With this change, some features which were specific to the old Title Synopsis page (locking, watching etc) are no longer supported. This decision was made only after careful consideration and was based on data quality, coverage, and usability.

IMDb is passionately committed to providing innovative ways for our users to engage with our content and we appreciate your continued support of IMDb.

Thanks,
Nic

This seems like a "fix" for something that wasn't broken. It just adds more noise to the equation and now I have to filter through all the plot summaries to get to a synopsis. The old page felt much cleaner than this new page. Please give us an option to use the old view.

Thanks for the feedback and sorry about the filtering.  This is an unintended side effect of the way the new feature was launched.  We are scheduling a fix to take you directly to the plot synopsis section of the page.

The linkage problem has been fixed now, thanks again for reporting.

a film called "The Man Who was Dead" starring Thomas Mitchell (1955) star and story series using Henry Fonda as host  Your plot is wrong.  It concerns a older man (Thomas Mitchell) who during heat wave goes around wearing an over coat and tells his family he is dead.  He really is not dead but he is being neglected by his family and he is trying to get them to pay attention to him.   After most frustration is forced to go to a Therapist and tells the Therapist he is not really dead but  not before
this ploy has he been finally paid attention too.  I saw this film on TV and I remember
it well. If you want to contact me try hernb101@verizon.net.  It as a short film that should be seen if a print or VHS is available.  Herb Fogelson (PS I saw the listing on IMDb)

I don't approve, and I will explain why in another GS topic.

So, that other GS topic is "Rendering of Standard Character Entity References in the Systems Replacing Swikis", a concern that was dubiously re-categorized from a "problem" to an "idea".
