"Plot Outline" Character Limit Should Be Included in the "Message" Box

After I took the time to compose a Plot Outline for a TV episode, I found out it was not acceptable because it was over 240 characters.
It would be helpful to include this information in the Message box so contributors know this before they write. (I know it's available via the Help button, but why hide it?) It would be even more helpful to have a character counter visible near the composition box or to indicate in some other way that the character limit has been reached. I've seen this done on other websites, so I'm sure IMDb could do it.
As it stands now, the character count is only given after the writing is completed and "checked". Then the writer must blindly edit and "re-check" until the character count is right. It would be so much easier for contributors if they could see whether they're going over the character limit as they are composing.

Thank you.

For what it's worth, if you write a plot outline and it's longer than 240 characters, you can always submit it as a plot summary (unless the title already has five summaries, but most titles don't).
