Please add Lithuanian symbols so people can spell their names correctly
I have noticed that there aren’t Lithuanian symbols when adding titles or names. This is sad, as in this day and age people should be able to spell their names right and many other websites support symbols from other languages than English.
In Lithuanian case, there’s only a few, for example ė (two thirds of female surnames finish with this symbol!) or ž, š, č which are in many names too and it’s very odd to have to write one’s name without the correct spelling, and have it mispelled on the largest movie database.

Grama: I have given you a vote in favor of this idea. However, please note that adding support for the Lithuanian alphabet is dependent upon IMDb implementing Unicode. Although IMDb has added support for other languages for use in alternate titles, full Unicode support could still be years away.
To give you an idea of the scope of this task, at a time when only the roman alphabet could be used in alternate titles, IMDb once posted a newsletter that said:
That newsletter was posted in April 1997.
I hope this helps.

I've noticed a few names have recently (in the last month or so only?) had the Lithuanian characters added. I just tried adding a new person to the database with the ė in it and it was surprisingly accepted. Then I edited an existing name to include the correct characters and it was also accepted (well, accepted as in it didn't give me an error about unacceptable characters. The edit itself is pending). This is great news!
For some reason, however, these same characters are not accepted in the Original Title field, despite being accepted if they are tagged as the Lithuanian title in the Alternate Titles section.
Here are some examples I've come across lately:
Matas Dirginčius, Benediktas Radzevičius, Eglė Ulevičiūtė, Aira Čeponaitė, and the more prominent Šarūnas Bartas
So it seems like the technical capability is there, but it's not implemented everywhere yet.
