Please accept the full url instead of requiring constants

As a contributor, making [link=] connections could be streamlined if only you accepted the full url instead of only the name/title constant. It would make sense to STORE just the constant, but don't make the contributor extract the constant from the URL. You know how your URLs look; you should be able to build a function to recognize and extract the constant.

Similarly, many places in contribution forms do not accept, and really should, the full URL. Examples:
1) Adding cast/crew (that is NOT the url for Name Name):

2) Title Corrections (when merging):

3) Movie Connections:

Apparently you know to skip over the imdb.com, because you're recognizing "name" and "title". Just skip one more word and see the constant.

I would like to add:
ATS (Advanced Title Search) should also accept full URLs:

Nothing happens when the full url is pasted, but when the name constant is alone, it's fine.

Maybe delete the"REF=___" part of the link

IMDb adds that Reference to track where the link was found
and counts that to see what folks are looking at to find more information

Folks post REF links on GS and others did not find that link on that Ref page - they found it Here
and that will be an error the Ref counter

Same when posting the link elswhere

Any comments about this from the Staff ? ?

Act_1: it is NOT helpful to post speculation that you have not tried. Eliminating the trailing end of the URL does not make these forms accept either the Name or the Title URL.

Obviously I can paste the whole URL and then delete the non-constant front and back of the URL. My post is requesting that I shouldn't have to do that.

To me it's very significant that the Edit forms recognize "title" or "name", skipping over the core of the URL.
