Play For Today corrections rejected as "unable to verify"...

I've been cleaning up Play For Today (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0165592) lately, which has a fair number of errors, particularly in the cast lists section.

The problem is that many of the episodes are so difficult to get hold of that the original submitters have clearly taken them from their listings in The Radio Times (ie. BBC Genome) which frequently doesn't match what appears onscreen, certainly in terms of credits order.

Over the past few months I've done stuff like upload credit snapshots, make clips of the end credits and upload them, etc. But yesterday I just provided the URL link to the episode online to save time - is that lazy, or not good enough?

The vast majority of my corrections (13 out of 15) were rejected under the ID #220701-222115-475000

Hi MovieCat-

Thank you for posting the submission reference number! I have reviewed the submission and I can confirm that the credit corrections were declined due to the URL link provided. Since the website requires a sign up that is "only available in the UK. Education institutions must hold an ERA licence," our editors were unable to verified the evidence provided.

In this case, I encourage you to resubmit them and provide the screen grabs instead in order for our editors to verified the evidence accordingly. Once it's submitted, they will review the information and you are also welcome to post the submission reference here as well.

Let us know if you have further questions/issues!

Cheers!

@Maya Thank you Maya.

One slightly tricky point is that two of the names cited on BBC Genome don't actually have onscreen credits, so will need to be changed to "uncredited"... but it's hard to prove the absence of a credit. Unless I upload a video clip? Unfortunately, all the "free upload video" sites seem to be down now.

On a related note, I got a "badly formatted" rejection for an image... I always like to add the episode title screen, plus two images per episode: #220626-154903-775202

@MovieCat If you happened to find another way to upload the video clip, you are welcome to do so. This way our editors will take another look at the re-submission.

In regards to the image, it was rejected as badly formatted as the quality seems blurry. For this one also, if you have a better quality image, I encourage you to re-upload it and if you would like you can post the re-submission number so we can take a look for you.

@Maya Ah, it was probably the source content, I'll do another pic. It was confusing because it didn't specify why.

And I've just found a site that uploads videos, so I've made a clip and resubmitted, thanks.

Never fails to amaze me how many perverts there are submitting to the IMDb btw... there was an incredibly obscure sitcom from the 70s that had ZERO photos... except for an episode where a guest actress (who was in it for all of 2 minutes) had her underwear on.

I was just adding some Play For Today images as around 80-90% of them didn't have any when I started.... then I just came across an episode that had almost a 100. The plot? An episode about lesbians.
