Photos/ headshots

I have updated my headshots. I deleted all previous headshots, but one ( the oldest) won't let me delete it. I want to remove it because I look too young and do not want it visible. I also can't get it out of my featured photos.

Furthermore, when I Google my name, the photo that appears next to my IMDB link is also an old one—how do I change this?

Would appreciate some help on this. Thank you

Hi Nilgee-

In order for our staff to take a look, can you post the link of your page or the link to that image in your gallery?

As per when you Google your name, all of our pages are indexed automatically by search engines. In this case, if you have already updated/changed your profile picture on your IMDb page, we have no control over how they appear on Google or any other search engine.

Cheers!

Maya when i google my name all the images under imdb are old images... I googled how to change this and all the info was :

  1. Find the image in Google search results and click on it to open it.
  2. Look for the website or webpage where the image is hosted. This information is usually displayed below or next to the image.
  3. Contact the website owner or webmaster and request that they remove the image. Be clear and specific about which image you want to remove and why.

In many ways, IMDb is a professional window front, and we must be presented in our current context. There must be a way for you and Google to update your pages even if they are indexed automatically by search engines. Google says this lies with you; you say you have no control. This means that despite paying a substantial annual subscription, our outdated images will come up to link to IMDb when someone searches for us—really?

Hi @Nilgee -

The two images you referenced have now been removed from your photo gallery.

Concerning Google search, as mentioned, we don't submit individual pages/images to Google or to any other search engine and have absolutely no control over how they appear or are ranked in their results.  If there is an issue with search engine results you will need to raise the issue with Google directly.

I hope this helps!
