Photo question

Hi Michele I noticed that some people upload photos but they manage to tag them to the profile of the subject. How does it happen? In some cases, I believe it's legit but in others not so much. Especially when it's a poor screenshot of the individual.

Hi, Randy Alto. That's a great question, and I appreciate you inquiring. An image uploaded directly to an IMDb title page prior to 2015 or can potentially find its way onto the IMDb name page of one of the people tagged in it, even in the primary image slot (as a placeholder), on account of the way various the legacy image upload programs are grandfathered. The same mechanism may apply to images uploaded via IMDb Title Scorecard. Some images are uploaded directly to IMDb name pages without the involvement of IMDbPro, and it is believed that IMDb's image partners (however many of them there be) are responsible for the presences of those kinds of image gallery items.
