Peter's Computer - series or individual short films

In 2014, directors Albert Birney and Nicholas Gurewitch released 2 short films from the Peter's Computer series on YouTube under the Big Play Films brand. Now on IMDB this content is labeled as a series, but with only one episode.

The question is: is this really considered a two-part miniseries or are they two separate short films?

The fact is that at Big Play Films the monkey Sylvio, who is the hero of the “computer” episodes, has his own short videos, which have the title of the cycle as “Sylvio”.

Unfortunately, the search brought up little information about the creation of these projects, but there is a link (which is also listed on the IMDB page for “computer”).

The thing is that I don’t know whether to add "Peter’s Computer - Gorilla Video" as the second episode of the series or make it a separate video short?

Hi @den_budanov -

We list titles as they were originally released and marketed. If they were at first released as individual shorts, never marketed as a series, we should have them as individual listings.

Cheers!

Apparently they were released in separate short films and are simply part of a cycle, but clearly not a series of two one-minute films. These are just two separate videos made for YouTube.

Let me remind you that the second short was never posted on the IMDB page. There were no announcements about the series online. All the notes that are on the Internet are dedicated to the very first short, which is now labeled as a series. I think it's Peter's Computer.
Desktop Cleanup should be made a separate short, removing the attribution of the mini-series.

@den_budanov Thanks! I have now modified the title, it will take a little to update but changes should be live on the site shortly. Feel free to add second short and to modify any wrong info on the first one using our online form.

Cheers!

In order not to create a separate topic, I’ll ask here since the question relates to the same personalities, namely Albert Birney. In 2019, he created Tux and Fanny. This is 79 video episodes. At the same time, these episodes were edited into one 82-minute film. That is, in fact, the content is the same, but the distribution was both episodes on the Internet, which have their own order and numbers, and a separate full-length film. The IMDB lists only the film. What would be right - to create an additional page for the series or this information for the section of alternative versions on the film page?

@den_budanov If it's the same footage it should be listed under alternate versions. Depending on the difference between the original cut and the new one, it may be eligible for a separate title page - however this is uncommon. I believe this case it should just be listed as alternate.

Cheers!

The director's website states the following about the feature film: "The feature film consists of episodes 1-79 with some added scenes."

I haven’t watched (and I’m unlikely to watch) the version that is distributed as a web series broken down into episodes, and I’m going to watch the full-length version. But it seems that since scenes were added to the film, would it still be correct to include the serial version separately, and reflect the data on the differences in the trivia section in both versions?

UPD:
Each episode of the “serial” version even more so has its own titles.

@den_budanov If there are enough differences like added footage, added cast and crew. It can be worth adding a separate listing.

Well, as far as I understand, the difference is three minutes, that is, 3 segments were added to the film version (one of the distribution platforms for this content as a series was Instagram - and 79 one-minute episodes were posted there). It would be great if someone from among the experts on Tux and Fanny got involved and expressed their opinion, and if this is suitable for the series, then they created a page (I rarely contribute on series).

@den_budanov Hi!

From research I believe it should be listed as an alternate version rather than a separate listing, thanks for your patience.

Cheers!
