Persuasion (1995) vs. "Screen Two" (1985) {Persuasion (#11.3)}

In 1995, a filmed version of Jane Austen's "Persuasion" was made, directed by Roger Michell and starring Amanda Root and Ciarán Hinds.

This production debuted on television in the UK as part of the "Screen Two" (1985) series, but was released theatrically in the USA. Consequently, it has been listed by IMDb for many years as an episode of "Screen Two": https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114117/

However, apparently around November 2019, a separate entry for Persuasion as a 1995 theatrical film was added to IMDb: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11333812/  Note that both productions have the same cast.

Am I correct in saying that adding the separate entry for the theatrical version of Persuasion was an error, as opposed to a change of policy? Should the theatrical version be merged into the "Screen Two" episode?
