Well, there is no need here to make ambiguous reference to Christian fundamentalists based out of any particular region, even if as a rhetorical device. Simply asking why a particular submission was declined will suffice. Thank you.

Not a single word in that comment is profane, but it seems to apply only to Christian audiences. I imagine there may be people around the world who have no idea who ‘the Lord’ is, even if they are familiar with Jesus.

A parents’ guide is to advise parents about content they might not wish children to see. If the word ‘God’, used in exclamation, is offensive, then say the script includes ‘God’. I’m not sure how many Hindus or Jain’s would object to using someone’s name, but if the word is ‘God’ it may become clear.

It is the same principle as the Intense and Disturbing Scenes section. “There are deaths, which might be disturbing for some” is not describing a scene but the whole film. “In one scene, six people are killed by gunfire” explains what the disturbing scene is. The words “might be disturbing” are entirely irrelevant, as the comment should not be there if it is not disturbing.

The intention is not to have fifty entries in each section, but to give a short but comprehensive clue what people might expect to see.

Yes, that's why an exact quote ought to be supplied by the contributors taking note of instances in which the name of Jesus, or any other deified historical figure, or the creator of the universe, is being used as a curse or impolite interjection. I'd agree that simply noting that a character is engaged in the act of "taking the lord's name in vain" is most certainly vague, and enough to be unacceptable. We expect to read something more along the lines of, e.g., "In numerous scenes, a little boy mutters, 'god damn it' and 'for heaven's sake'." I don't recall coming across anything so vague, as explained way above, in any of IMDb's content advisories, but surely there must be countless cases. Unfortunately, some folks feel the need to bowdlerize certain terms or phrases, as they may feel like the very act of even transcribing or quoting them is itself profane. Hell, they might even be taking precautions to avoid having any part of their communications be subject to censorship/redaction.

I can assure you that those vague references to religious sensitivity are commonplace, as are attempts to provide a guide to parents that denies parents the guidance they seek.

 Ordinarily I hold on to emails about submissions that are delayed for any reason, but my inbox would be overwhelmed when suggested edits are repeatedly rejected with no meaningful explanation.
