Pages with Info for Two Different Projects

A few days ago a new show premiered all it's episodes at once. So, I went to the IMDb page for this show to add the episodes and all the information I had on them. Unfortunately, I ended up adding them to the wrong page. There were two pages, one with 8 placeholder episodes listed, and one with only the pilot episode listed. Neither of these were totally correct, because the pilot was technically the first of these 8 episodes, and had aired two years prior, but was credited as episode 1.1, rather than an individual short like some pilots are. So I mistakenly added the 7 new episodes to the page that only had the pilot, leaving the other page to have 8 blank episodes.

So before I thought about how to fix this, I started filling in the information for those 8 blank episodes on the other page. Unfortunately, I absent-mindedly added the information for episode 1.2 on the page for episode 1.1, since it had been the first to air on the premiere night. I didn't realize this until I had already plugged in the information of the other 6 episodes that had aired that night. In order to fix this new problem, I tried marking episode 1.2 as episode 1.1, to try combining the pages, planning to then go back and add a new page for episode 1.1. But anyone who's tried something like this knows how often the process just doesn't go through. So for days I tried combining these episodes, as well as all the duplicate episode pages on the pages for the two identical shows, so that I could then combine both show pages.

But none of these requests went through, and now someone has come along and plugged in information from episode 1.1 into the episode 1.1 page. But this hasn't fixed the problem, it's only made it more complicated. Because now half the information on this page is for episode 1.1 and half is for episode 1.2. The plot outlines and still frame are correct for example, but the cast information and presumably all the other episode credits I wrote onto the page are all incorrect, since the page was never changed to episode 1.2 and the person who wrote the episode 1.1 details didn't change any of those sections of the page.

What is the fix here? We have two pages for the same show, each with 8 episodes, and the first episode on one of the pages has information for both the first and second episode. I can't help but feel like if the combined page requests had gone through, this could have been solved very easily, but IMDb never wants to work like that. For some reason it's way easier to insert incorrect information or straight up fake pages than to fix these pages.

Hi ryfi -

In order to hep workout the issues, can you post the IMDb links to both series title pages?

Hi @ryfi -

My apologies for the delayed reply.  I reviewed both title pages referenced above and can confirm that they have since been combined to a single series under "Smiling Friends".

In the meantime, if there are any outstanding issues with this series listing let us know!
