On the simplest level...
This is what I am trying to do:

Deleting "adventure” as a keyword since it is a genre, and submitting it correctly AS a genre.
By accepting the keyword deletion, but rejecting the correct genre submission, you are destroying information.
The incorrect keyword may be a standalone genre or a combination of genres, but, if the genres are not validated or corrected, this information is lost.

The guideline being followed here:
Repeating genres: For example, we have the genres Romance and Drama so you can submit these as genres to the title rather than submitting the keyword romantic-drama. For an exceptional genre on an episode that does not relate to the overall series, please see the -episode special keywords below
