Its pretty straightforward.
Why the denial?
I can't help but to start wondering
either way, please let me know what I need to do to change it so it is permitted

TRIVIA ADDITION
In the beginning of the movie when Eddie Chapman is in the British prison on Jersey and one of the older prison guards comes into his cell after Eddie's been banging on the door with his dinner plate, Eddie's told that the Germans have taken the island. And in fact the Germans are in charge of the prison. The prison guard, wearing his uniform with what must be World War I ribbons on it, is told by Eddie that he had better take those ribbons off or they'll think he got it for killing Germans, Then he demands to speak with a German commandant. In the next scene you see the German commandant with that same prison guard walking down the hall to Eddie's cell and it's obvious the prison guard took Eddie's advice because he's no longer wearing those ribbons on his uniform.ReasonBadly Formatted.

Although the entire premise of the movie is that although Chancey Gardner is an uneducated housebound gardener and only learned everything he knows from watching television, everybody believes he is a highly educated, worldly, clever man that speaks totally in euphemisms. So much so that throughout the movie he's been offered and has been seriously considered for high level engagements such as book writing, and even the highest political office. However, it wouldn't take long, once he sits down with the, so-called, King makers that as soon as they start talking to him at length and about specifics, he would reveal himself to be the simpleton gardener that he actually is and would never be considered for any type of office or position.ReasonBadly Formatted.

Hi Cousinvin62 -
Concerning these submissions:
#260922-184137-711000: two things to note - you submitted this as a Trivia item, but this should actually be contributed as a Goof. With that being said, this would liekly have been declined even if submitted correctly as a goof because this scene seemed to be intentional continuity, appears to be deliberate:
The fact that the ribbons are gone shows the guard took Eddie's advice, which is the point of the exchange. A goof would be if the ribbons disappeared without any in-story explanation, or if they reappeared later after being removed. Here, the film is showing cause and effect - Eddie's warning, followed by the guard acting on it.
#260922-182533-069000: We're unable to list this as a Goof as it describes the intentional premise and satirical conceit of the film rather than an error in production. Being There is deliberately constructed so that every character misinterprets Chauncey's simple statements as profound wisdom, and that's the core of the satire, not an oversight.
For reference, you can review our Goof guidelines.
I hope this helps, let us know if you have any questions!

Could you please check into this. Somebody else suggested this might be a goof. It's not a goof. In that scene the prison guard was wearing his World War I ribbons. In that same scene the prisoner, Eddie, the guard was talking to advised him that because the German army is occupying the prison and running it that he should remove those ribbons that he won in World War I. In the very next scene he's not wearing the ribbons. It's obvious his motive for not wearing the ribbons is because of advice the prisoner, Eddie, had given him.
This is a classic observation that warrants it to be categorized as a trivia contribution. I'm not sure of the motive of this being denied. Could you please look into this for me?
