Not Hal Holbrook?

The editors accepted my submission of this newspaper photo for inclusion under 1977's "Our Town," but rejected my identification of the actor as Hal Holbrook, as "unable to verify." If they aren't sure that it's Holbrook, how can they be sure that the photo belongs under 1977's "Our Town" at all?
