Non-binary gender option - if not now, when?

I've seen a few posts about the need for a non-binary gender option and accompanying gender-neutral pronouns, and the response seems to be that the way IMDb is designed, it cannot accommodate that. I understand it would not be a simple undertaking and take time, but my question is have they started that process? As time goes on, the need for this will only grow larger, so when is IMDb going to catch up?
