News links not showing on my page anymore

Hi, I was linked in this Variety article which showed on my page:

https://www.imdb.com/news/ni63422406

https://pro.imdb.com/news/article/ni63422406

Now it doesn't show. I read in another thread that only the names that show on the article at IMDb are linked but that's not the case. It showed on my page yesterday, and also another person (Andres) is not mentioned in the small part of the article viewable on IMDb but it still appears on his page in the news section?

For reference:

My page: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2623046/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1

Andres: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm4387002/?ref_=rvi_nm

Also, my name isn't on the article preview for this article at IMDb but it still shows on my page so surely that isn't the issue: https://www.imdb.com/news/ni63039238

Sorry this might seem small to some but these articles help a writer like myself a lot look credible when someone visits my page.

Cheers

Hi JVwriter -

It is correct that your name must be listed within the extracted new article on IMDb in order for your name to be linked on the news article and for it to display on your IMDb page.

Regarding the first article you reported (https://www.imdb.com/news/ni63422406), unfortunately, your name is not referenced within the extracted article so I am unable to link the article to your page.  I can confirm that Andres' name is referenced within the article and it is currently linked to his IMDb page.

Regarding the second article (https://www.imdb.com/news/ni63039238), I can confirm that your name is referenced within the extracted article, this is why it is displaying on your IMDb page.

Cheers!

I would agree with Jennifer that the explanation doesn't make sense, unless "the extracted article" is something other than the text we see on the linked pages. Perhaps you see a different extract as a member of staff?

@Michelle but where in the extracted articles are the names mentioned? @Peter_pbn is right, is an extracted article something other than the below? It also doesn't explain why it showed on my page originally but now doesn't.

I know it's not your decision but maybe you could pass on how silly it also, anyone tagged in the article should be linked. I've seen many people complain about it the past few days.

Hi JVwriter -

To help clarify, the complete extracted article content does not displayed on the site due to space limitations.

If the article was previously displayed on your IMDb page, it's possible that your name was once referenced in the article but was later removed, or possibly if further content was added to the article and your name was pushed out of the extracted article that IMDb catalogues.

In the meantime, I have forwarded your feedback to the applicable team for future improvements and considerations.

I hope this helps clarify!

@Michelle

Ok thank you! That does clarify. I must have just been bumped out by the looks of it, what a bummer!

Thanks for passing that on, I appreciate it.
