New tab/window after exiting contribution zone

Thank you for reporting! Could you provide us with these further information as well: 

• Browser Information:
  • Version: 
  • Mobile Web or Desktop?
  • Specific URL(s) affected
  • Signed in or out
  • Do you have an ad blocker enabled?
  • Are you only seeing it on Edge? or is it happening on another browser?

It happened on the Windows desktop versions of Edge and Chrome, but now it seems to have been corrected in Edge and there is a new contribution sidebar in Chrome, so a returning link is obsolete. But the sidebar could be wider up to 50%.

I have an ad blocker enabled and am obviously signed in, otherwise I couldn't contribute.

The contribution sidebar is in Chrome only at this time, in Edge is still the classic contribution page, but for now the exiting link there is not opening another tab. Hopefully it stays that way until the sidebar works in Edge too...

Edge Version 147.0.3912.60 (Offizielles Build) (64-Bit)

I confirm that the reasoning for this issue is as noted below: 

We're gradually enabling a modernized sidebar contribution experience. Due to this new experience being gradually rolled out, your browsers are not consistently seeing the same experience.

When we fully enable the modernized experience this issue should be resolved. We apologize for any inconvenience caused in the meantime.
