New Contribution Title & Company Suggestion Search

We are pleased to announce today (13th December 2017) we have added Title Suggestion Search to IMDb’s Filmography contribution form and Company Suggestion Search to IMDb’s Title contribution form. As you begin entering a Title or Company credit, we will now provide suggestions based on what you’ve typed and the context of the submission (for example, as you type “Friend” as a Title, the list will auto complete to provide more information beyond just popularity).

We are excited to announce this new feature, although it won’t be available to everyone immediately.  In the coming days we will gradually release this new functionality, but we wanted to let you know, since it will soon begin appearing for many of you.  This release is limited to Title and Company, over time we plan to further extend this search functionality.

Also, while we believe this new functionality simplifies the process of adding Title and Company credits, if you choose to ignore the suggested search value, the submission form will continue to function as it has in the past. After pressing “Check these updates” you will receive the old search results.

We hope this new feature will both simplify and improve how you contribute to IMDb.
