Need less dark movies, and more romantic comedies

Hey,
Can you explain why there are no more romantic comedies and only dark and aggressive movies.??? We need more love and care in movies again. This makes people and especially kids careless.
Alot of agression is being projected on to the youth. Movies from the 50ies...60ies...70ies...80ies...90ies...had more flair and meaning, love and real funny comedian wrighters. WE NEED BETTER MOVIES WITH LESS DARKNESS!!!

I don't know what the users on the Get Satisfaction community can do for you, and I certainly cannot answer your question, but what I can do is agree.  Sometimes it's interesting to watch a scary or mystery or action movie, but I have noticed that recently there kinda only two types of films for only two types of audiences:
Super-mature films for dark adults
OR
Super-goofy films for very young children
There's rarely any in-between, and when there is it's truly a "Hallejujah!" moment, lol.
Even the 2000s were better at that balance.  The 2010s had its good times, like Christopher Robin, for instance, but overall you are so right.  My huge complaint is the 2,000,000 crime shows EVERY channel and streaming service must have!!!  And they're not even tasteful crime stories, like Poirot.  It's all NYPD Blue Code 5 Laws and Rules Extreme Justice Guilty SVU Behind Bars... okay maybe I exaggerated a little, but c'mon!  LOL

Yep...too much crime shows. And too many bad remakes. It's just to linear. No surprising elements. Bad writing, just like some of the songs and songwriters these day's. After the year 2000 it got bad. Even comics got dark and less interesting. I myself caught myself watching more movies and series from back in the days. For example, that 70s show, or the 1st Ghostbusters. Or A romantic but surprising movie Meet Joe black,. I am not even old, mid 30s. And so boderd by this. Really hurtful to see high class actors in a low budget Netflix movie.lol

Pretty much all I watch is older stuff, too, lol... sometimes old meaning the 50s, and sometimes old meaning the 90s.  And you are SO right, new music artists are terrible!  Most of them anyway.  Sometimes they have a song that's good, but their voice cannot handle it.  It's something that Steve Perry or Pat Benatar could've handled back in the day (or even now!) but these newbies just don't have what it takes.  I feel like the singers now fancy themselves great performers, in that they can try to hit a high note or draw it out, but they shouldn't.  That's just my little opinion anyway, lol.

Exactly....And I really like some artists of this time, but oh lordy lord, some vocals are so filtered and tuned. That real vocal talent are not even given a possibility to grow. And it's so much more about fancy clothes and tight spotless make up. It's really sad. In the movie industry the same. They cast about the apearance but not so much the acting talent. I remember when The Six Sense came out, i was stunned how much acting skills that little kid had. Amazing...Now all I see is really bad casting or using high skilled actors in low budget movies or commercials. What is up with that? The scripts are too obvious, and in the beginning of the film I already know how it will end. No suprising elements. A good thriller with good strong story lines, or a good love story with funny (real funny) elements. We grew up with Robin Williams, or a Steve Martin with John Candy. Or a good thriller with Jack Nicholson in the Shining. ....Ah well...I really really hope that they put some mind and brain work in it in the upcoming years, and no lame remakes and lame casting. Maybe I am very critical and judgemental , but these are facts right? Youth these days miss a serten insight in communication on a social level. Let's give them some movies to learn from, intensity, love , spending time with loved ones and no cellular phones.

IMDb does not produce movies so this is nonsensical.
