Need help with Bulgarian animated film

There is an animated short I am trying to identify and figure out whether it is listed on IMDb at all, and if it isn't, I would like to get some help with having it added.

The film is a Bulgarian film which appeared on the home video compilation "The Best of Bulgarian Animation." In English, the film is referred to as "Left, Right ..." but I don't know the original Bulgarian title. At https://66.media.tumblr.com/536badbe6ed09d73a21e51825fac10aa/tumblr_o4t786Wbcn1uyoa2mo1_1280.jpg one can see the VHS box with the following plot outline:
A young bird simply cannot follow the rules as he literally marches to a different drummer.
The person listed in my notes as being the director is "E. Abadjiev" who may be the same person as Emil Abadzhiev, although he has mostly animator credits and only 2 director credits listed on IMDb to date.

So my questions are:
  1. Is this film listed on IMDb already?
  2. If not, can anyone help me get it listed?

Thanks!

For what’s worth, many older Russian and Eastern European films and animations had these credits where only the first initial was listed (like ”E. Abadjiev”).

I have access to some archives, so I can also take look. Original Bulgarian title would probably help, though (probably needed in order to list the film to IMDb?).

Hi Gromit,

FWIW as well, Rembrandt Films still exists (when www.image-entertainment.com does not anymore). So you may try to see what you could get from http://rembrandtfilms.com/contact.html

Hi gromit82,

That name page seems like the correct fit. If you can't find the original Bulgarian title you may submit the title under the English one and another contributor can amend this if they have access to the information, or merge it into the correct title if it already exists.

I hope this helps.

Regards,
Will

Will: If I can get access to the video release again, I will take a picture of the title/credits screen and post it here, so that someone who can read Bulgarian can transcribe the information.

Chances are it may be Ptitsi (1966), not sure.

Based on Google translate, Ptitsi is written as ”Птици” and I guess (literally) means ”Birds”. So who knows.

The good news is that I was able to get access to the DVD. The bad news is that the distributors of the US DVD removed the original Bulgarian title and credits and substituted just one frame for the credits:

I have taken a few screen captures to illustrate the film in case anyone recognizes it under a different title:

If the original film had a copyright notice, that's been omitted from the DVD as well, so the film's year is also unknown to me. I have just sent an e-mail to Rembrandt Films to request more information, as Vincent suggested earlier.

Also, I found a description of Ptitsi at the Annecy Animation Festival website:
The fight between white birds and black birds... but eggs are not racists.
This does not match the plot of "Left, Right..." so it appears to be a different film.

In case anyone was wondering whatever happened to this film, I eventually found out more information and it is listed in the database now as Levi, desni ... (1989).
