Solved

Need a quick bit of info from staff.

A new season of a series started so I tried make a newly released official poster for that season, the shows primary image on the series page since the old one is years old and includes cast that aren't even on the show anymore, but it was declined as 'Does not meet contribution guidelines'. There appears to be no difference between the past primary posters and new poster in style or size that would warrant that response. So can you tell me what is wrong here because I cannot figure it out.

Thanks.

Edit for a secondary issue.

I corrected some credits to look exactly as they do onscreen specifying why its like that, it was approved then they were altered back. So I submitted again with same explanation and it was declined as 'badly formatted'. I cannot keep up with the site rules that seem to alter each week on some things, are credits onscreen meant to be exactly written or not.

Look carefully at these (timestamped video links included) because either the data editor got lazy and made an assumption without looking into it or why its listed that way. Also the 'credit only' thing is wrong, I provided a timestamped proof that said person appeared for 2 seconds.

Again, look carefully at what's written exactly onscreen (they are playing a scripted version of themselves playing a portrayal of an in-universe real person in a movie and that's why it's written that odd way onscreen) and my explanation of it before deciding anything, I'm aware of the rules regarding aliases, this isn't an alias, also if I'm in the right, please stop them being changed back into something that misrepresents the role.

I'll abide by whatever is decided but I think this is a unique case.

Thank you.

The most iconic and widely-recognized poster, preferably from the original airing of the first season.

@Peter_pbn I've changed posters on some reality shows every season without any issue, might be the reason but the current primary isn't from the first season either nor is it any more recognisible than any other, but it is outdated.

How is this marked solved? Neither of my 2 problems were responded to as a confirmation or in one case at all.

So I'm taking it a like Season 7 or 8 poster on a reality show can't be replaced as primary image by a current cast Season 11 poster despite this never being an issue before and the other issue, just not worth a look.

Hi @VonPunk -

For the primary poster issue, the change has now been made for the current season as you requested.  We do have a guideline that @Peter_pbn mentioned indicating that our preference is for the first season poster, however, we are flexible and reviewing this guideline.

For "The Boys" episode credit correction, I confirmed the correct formatting for dual roles includes the "/" between the characters played, so this credit is listed correctly with the character name "Will Ferrell/Coach Brink".

I hope this helps!

@Michelle Thank you for looking into these.

I totally see the poster rule as valid in the majority of cases, I've only ever changed them round once a flood on around 4 or 5 reality shows I've long term edited, these shows don't really have classical posters and other people change them too, and sometimes they look a bit tired over years with any cast members appearing on poster leaving or aging over years. So grateful for you approving this, page looks instantly more revitalised and current, including the channel name it now airs on instead the one it doesn't air on any longer like the old poster.

I'll abide by your ruling on the 2nd one, it wasn't really a dual role as it was always Will but as it was a unique situation, maybe it's okay to keep it uniform with other credits.

Thanks again.
