name change
Hi! I had a list of credits which had may maiden name and marriage name. Recently I requested name change back to maiden name and ticked "preserve the name on existing credits". I thought it meant that credits will stay as they were with the name according to what it was on the actual film. But what happened is - ALL credits changed to the name I wanted to change! I now am listed by my maiden name as i wanted but ALL credits have my marriage name. What do i do to get old credits back correctly or at least ALL with the name i use now?
I would appreciate any help with this.

If a credit didn't have an "as Yana Rits" attribute before, IMDb's system assumes that you were credited as the longer, former name.
You can edit your credits and remove attributes that are wrong. Use the explanation field for each edit to say how you were credited on screen. You may in some cases need evidence of how you were credited.

The thing is that some credits did have "as Yana Rits" and some "as Yana Rits-Cairns" which I thought would be preserved.
So do you mean that I now have to change each credit one by one? Do I do it via the same edit page that i used to change the name?
