Solved

My credits are incorrect

Hi, I'm Jennifer Kryzaniwskyj and I noticed that there are shows listed in my credits that I never worked on, Johnny Test and Wayside.

I made this account so I could try to delete these two shows from my credits, but there are a ton of episodes listed and it's asking for an explanation for every single one. Is there an easier way to delete entire shows from my credits?

There are a lot of shows I worked on that aren't listed in my credits, but I'm more concerned about taking credit for shows I've never worked on. I haven't made any edits to this site before, so I would appreciate any tips or help. Thank you!

Jennifer: There appears to be another person in the database who is also an animator and has a very similar name to yours:

Jennifer Kryzaniwskj (other person, who does not have a Y as the second-to-last letter in your name)

as compared to

Jennifer Kryzaniwskyj (you, with a Y as the second-to-last letter in your name)

In fact, there are a number of shows where both of you are listed with credits, so either you have been working on the same shows as her, or, more likely, somebody incorrectly submitted the credits for one or both of you to IMDb.

Can you post here a list of which credits on your page are yours and which are not? And, similarly, if there are any credits on the other Jennifer's page which are yours that she did not work on, please list them here.

This will make it easier for us to sort through whose credits are whose.

@gromit82 This looks more like one of those animation credit vandalisms rather than credit being on a wrong page (these two pages likely refer to same person, not two different persons anyway)

I checked several random episodes from several seasons of these shows (Johnny Test and Wayside) and there is no animator credit for any "Jennifer" in any of the episodes. This type of animation vandalism happens a lot, this looks like one of them. @Bethanny and @Michelle are experienced in cleaning these, maybe they can check the user who added these credits and make a clean-up.

@gromit82 I'm thinking the one spelled -skj was simply a typo by whoever created that profile, and the -skyj is the correct spelling of my name.

The shows I've animated on so far are: Gerald McBoing Boing, The Backyardigans, Grossology, My Friend Rabbit, Willa's Wildlife, Disney's Handy Manny, Sidekick, Babar and the Adventures of Badou, Franklin and Friends, Bubble Guppies, Mike The Knight, Fresh Beat Band of Spies, Disney's Elena of Avalor, Little Charmers, Wishfart, Esme and Roy, Disney's Go Away Unicorn, Thomas and Friends: All Engines Go! (shorts), Best and Bester.

As for which episodes, many of these were too long ago for me to remember those details. I'd need to find the episodes with credits to find my name. This is 15+ years of animation work.

I never once worked on Johnny Test or Wayside. I just don't want to be credited for shows I've never touched.

Thank you both for the replies <3

Your help is appreciated

@mbmb some of these shows ran for multiple seasons and I worked on one of those or several. The Backyardigans for example, I worked in Season 2. I was able to find a youtube video with credits for the episode called News Flash, I'll try to attach a screenshot of that here.

For Mike The Knight, I worked on season 2 more than season 1. For Bubble Guppies I worked on seasons 2 and 4 I believe. Two seasons of Esme and Roy. First season of Grossology, the first episode they started me on was School's Grossed out for Summer.

Mostly I just don't want any shows listed that I didn't work on at all (Johnny Test and Wayside). I'm less picky about episode listing being right for the shows I worked on. :)

Edit: notice my name is also spelled wrong in the credits screenshot, with an S instead of a Z. This happens a lot~

@JenniK Sure, I was talking about only Johnny Test and Wayside when I said "there is no animator credit for any "Jennifer" in any of the episodes"

@Mixabella that one is also misspelled.  It's missing a y.

Like this: skyj

I'm used to my name being spelled incorrectly.

@Mixabella that's good..

The correct spelling of my last name is Kryzaniwskyj. That image you shared has Kryzaniwskj.

I don't mind that. I just wanted the shows removed that I didn't work on, and name misspelling made that a bit trickier, but they said it's resolved now. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@JenniK Cops and Robots was the first episode of the Backys that you worked on

episodes 33-40

or Episodes 13-20 of Season 2

so that means, you worked on the remaining episodes of season 2

@JenniK I Don't ever recall GMBB being animated by you, but Fellow MFR Animators Brian Evinou and Michael Colligan worked at Mercury Filmworks

@Mixabella it's really difficult to find credit lists for every episode of Gerald McBoing Boing. I'm sure my animation supervisors remember me working on it. You could ask them, they're listed in all the credits, such as John Tielli. It's the first show I ever worked on and I enjoyed it.

It doesn't really matter to me if Gerald McBoing Boing gets added to my credit list here. The reason I started this thread was to get shows that I never worked on removed from my profile(s). There were sooo many episodes listed that I never worked on, and two profiles one with a misspelling, it was a mess.

I Think you also worked with some ex-Get Ed Staff from Red Rover i.e. Brian T. Moyo as well as Samson Lau and Michael Naphan (both from 2 Presidents) as well as Canuck Creations staff members Rowena Cruz and Alejandro Gutierrez and as well as Cuppa's staff of Julie Faulkner (who also worked in Halifax) and Sean Wickett (also 2Prez) apparently Alejandro and Christopher Kim also worked on Handy Manny

I Don't Recall Nelson Costa working on Backys Season 3

@Mixabella I believe Michelle cleaned it up, as she told me the pages have been merged, see her message below.

And yes, not every animator gets credited for every episode they worked on, unfortunately. It all depends on the staff that handle credits I guess. The first episode of Backyardigans that I worked on was actually International Super Spy but I wasn't added to the credits list yet.

It's interesting that you're saying there's a difference between the american credits list and the europpean french dub credits list for Babar, I didn't know there was!

I'm Surprised that your company (Nelvana) kept the old dolby digital logo and making sure it doesn't go to waste

@JenniK The Big Wish Movie (The Last of the Care Bears for Nelvana) i Recalled that Tavo Rooneem started there and then worked on The Backyardigans (both Season 2 and Season 3)

and Designed on Season 2 of Grossology when production shifted from In-house animation at Nelvana and Outsourced animation from Mercury Filmworks to Pipeline Studios

Hi @JenniK -

I'm just following up here to confirm the outstanding issue that needs to be resolved.  I observed that there are two separate name page listings:

1) Jennifer Kryzaniwskyj

2) Jennifer Kryzaniwskj

As I understand, your correct name spelling is "Jennifer Kryzaniwskyj".  The pages should be merged if they both belong to you, you can find detailed instructions on how to merge a name page on our Help Guide

Additionally, you mentioned that there are incorrect credits listed on your page for "Johnny Test" and "Wayside"; upon reviewing the pages mentioned above, I only saw credit listings for "Wayside".  Can you confirm if your name was credited on-screen but you didn't work on the series, or was your name never credited on these series episodes?

@Michelle Thank you for pointing this out. Bethanny had said the data was cleaned up and I didn't check to confirm. There are indeed still two pages, one with my name typo. The one with the typo still lists Wayside as a credit and I never worked on Wayside in my life, so if I was ever in the credits for it I shouldn't have been.

It looks like Johnny Test was removed and that's great!

Hi @JenniK -

Thanks for confirming.  The pages have been combined and the incorrect series credits removed, the changes should be live on the site shortly.

Cheers!
