My credit keeps getting denied
I was hired as a principal for a film. Once it was released even though my deal memo says I would be credited, I was not. They paid damages to me through sagaftra for not crediting me. IMDb refuses to list me as a principal even though I submitted all my paperwork saying I am. At this point I think I want the listing deleted all together.

hm: In IMDb cast credits, there is no such thing as a "principal" as that term is used in the acting business (like "featured", "supporting", "cameo", etc.; see https://thoughtsonacting.blogspot.com/2013/07/defining-acting-roles-on-your-resume.html).
The distinction IMDb makes is between the people who are listed in the on-screen credits and those who aren't -- credited vs. uncredited. And the determination as to whether someone is considered "credited" or "uncredited" by IMDb is determined not by their contracts or the size of the role they played, but by whether the person got their name listed in the on-screen credits. See https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/filmography-credits/cast-acting-credits-guidelines/GH3JZC74FVYKKFMD#uncredited for details.

Hello hmdemarzino,
As mentioned by gromit82, we list credits as they are given in the on screen credits. If you are not credited the credit must go as "uncredited" and we do not remove valid/factual data. You can take a look at our Help Articles for more help.
