... and then going "It could be. Unable to verify that."

Hello, I’m new to the IMDB forum, although not to IMDB. I’ve started getting a lot of “unable to verify” responses with regard to my attempts at correcting spelling, grammar, and punctuation in plot outlines and summaries. This “unable to verify” when I’m only submitting minor grammatical changes has had me mystified! It’s become quite frustrating the last couple of months. A week (or 2?) ago I actually started submitting links to sites explaining grammar rules for my submitted corrections. Absurd, but sometimes this seems to help.

The last couple of days I’ve been working on correcting basic info and adding episodes for a tv series. Things seem to get approved much quicker (especially for anything related to the plot) when I add links to other sites showing the info I’m providing. It occurred to me today that perhaps I also need to provide links to plot summaries elsewhere, so the plots can be verified. Now, I’m not saying that this is logical. For the changes I’ve been attempting, this shouldn’t be necessary.

So this was a really long way of suggesting that submitting a link to a correct plot summary with each contribution might be helpful. That is a lot of work, I know. I will say that I did get a plot summary deleted earlier today (within a hour of submitting it). (The summary was attached to the wrong episode. Along with my explanation, I submitted a link to the correct plot for the episode and a link showing that the plot listed belonged to a different episode.)

I hope you are able to get everything resolved as easily as possible!
