Moving credits from one category to another

I have a credit listed under "production staff" that should be under costume department but I can't move it to costume department because from the production staff page there is no option for the costume department in the drop down menu as I am making the actual change. Also same problem from the other side from the costume page I can't even see the production credit when I go to the costume department credits so I can't access it to make a change of category. Anybody have a solution?

Emilyna, It may help to be more precise with the question - so for example, do you mean that you want to change your 7 credits on Raising Hope? I am not 100%, but you are right, there will not be an option in the drop-down for a job in another category....my try would be to select "other" and enter the job as it appears in the drop-down in the other category...the next screen should then say "this credit is 99% of the time in another category, do you want to move it or be the first person ever to create this job in this category".... This happens when I am adding data for the first time...so I guess it may work when editing it....if you give me specifics I am very happy to give it a try for you. While you are responding to that, please also confirm that, while this is your IMDb page, someone has accidentally created a second one relating to your work (since both pages have the short film Rancour on them). If this is the case then I can merge (II) into (I) very easily. bob note: I am not an IMDb employee, nor in any way affiliated with IMDb

Emilyna, It has been over 10 days and you have not replied with any specifics of what you are trying to do. I also do not see any change on the IMDb page listing your credits (apart from the merge of the 2 pages which I did). Perhaps you have it all in hand, but if you do need help please let me know, otherwise in a few days I will stop following this thread for updates. Thanks, bob note: I am not an IMDb employee, nor in any way affiliated with IMDb

Hi Bob, I very much appreciate you merging my two pages. I've been on an all consuming job for the last few weeks so I've been letting my personal emails go. Basically I had done some research to find out if there was a more direct way to change those two PA jobs from production to costumes which is what I do for a living (Raising Hope and Cake) and I only found one way to do it which was to remove the credit completely and then re-add it under costumes. Does that sound about right? For whatever reason that sounds tricky but I guess that is because I have never had to actually add my own credit. Thanks so much for your responses and help! Emilyna

Emilyna, You are right there is no simple way to totally change category for a credit - but it is not hard to delete and replace...just takes a little longer. Changing this is easy because ultimately IMDb do not care what the data is, as long as it is correct....so if you were credited on-screen in some costume-related capacity for Raising Hope and Cake, then this can easily be proven with a screenshot. With such evidence things usually get processed very quickly. bob note: I am not an IMDb employee, nor in any way affiliated with IMDb

As Cake hasn't been released yet, I randomly chose one of the episodes of Raising Hope (The Chance Who Stole Christmas) and here are some screenshots: Unfortunately, there are no indications of a costume-related job. The titles immediately before Emilyna's credit (see below) don't belong in that department either:

Emilyna, Using his copy of Raising Hope (which he keeps at his lawyer's office), ljdoncel has confirmed that we do not need to change anything as the listing in IMDb is correct, which is good as it means no deleting and adding, which is such a hassle. Thanks ljdoncel - you saved us again, have a nice day. bob note: I am not an IMDb employee, nor in any way affiliated with IMDb

...and since we all have the song in our heads now, here are the full opening credits of Flash Gordon....it doesn't help Emilyna but it is catchy. bob note: I am not an IMDb employee, nor in any way affiliated with IMDb
