Movie Connections

Over the years, I’ve posted hundreds of movie connections, mostly film clips, to IMDb movie pages.  Where appropriate, I’ve listed the Type as “features”, listed “Other Title” and supplied a “Reason” (usually “film clip”, though sometimes I’ve used “poster” as appropriate.)  For example, see the Insider YouTube video, “7 Horror Movie Tricks Used to Scare You (2021) (V)”  220605-205339-503000, which lists the films the narrator used to illustrate her premise.

Most of these Insider videos are fairly short (10-15 minutes long), but I recently tackled their film “How 13 Props Are Made for Movies and TV” (2022) (V) which included 100 movie connections over its 85-minute running time.  Although I used the same formula I’ve used for many previous entries, all of the movie clip connections were rejected (though the nine Poster connections were accepted).  The only comment for the rejections was, “Reason:  Does not meet contribution guidelines.  Your contribution has been declined.  Please review our submission guidelines.”

I’ve reviewed the submission guidelines for Movie Connections and don’t understand how my entries fail to meet them.  Seems pretty straightforward to me and, as I’ve written, I’ve used the same format hundreds of times before.  Could someone please explain where I’ve suddenly went off the rails? Here are the reference numbers for my submissions: 220628-192251-249000, 220628-191640-051000, and 220628-175517-048000

Hi david_bassler_ioglbun8cogge-

Thank you for posting the submission references! I have reviewed all 3 that were rejected and I can confirm that there are no violating issues with these submissions. I have now approved all 3 of them and the changes will be live on the site shortly.

Cheers!
