I've been under the impression that Movie Connections are listed in release date order within category.
On this page

that falls apart in the Followed By section:

Not good, esp since I was trying to find the 30s films.

Thanks for the screen grab and reporting this display issue, there is definitely a bug at play as the order should automatically be chronological as per Release Date.
I have filed a ticket with the appropriate tech team who will investigate. Once I have a status on the fix I will post the update here.
