More fake reviews...

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9708358/reviews?ref_=tt_urv

When are you going to so something about this? It's ridiculous. Do you really not care that people are abusing your site with botnets of fake reviews?

Do you really expect anyone to pay money for IMDB Pro when this is the amount of care you put into the site?

Hey Justin - Our voting system already detects and defeats attempts to stuff the ballot and skew the rating, as demonstrated by the difference between the weighted average and the arithmetic mean on the vast majority of titles in the database.

Our voting system is continually improved in this respect so you can rest assured that abuse is always automatically detected and thwarted.

We hope this addresses your concerns.as you've been told before IMDb has an algorithm for reviews and ratings that is designed to defeat attempts to game the system and audits take place at random intervals which should remove reviews and ratings submitted in an attempt to sabotage the title in question

You might want to vote for the Idea proposed in this thread: https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/idea-make-sure-reviews-are-reviews-again-minimum-of-50-words...

I've been noticing this issue a lot on very obscure movies (particularly old TV movies which I have been researching lately) with one or two sentence reviews from users, all in 2020. These films only have a handful of reviews, most of them with some length and then several will appear that are ridiculously short. They usually include comments that bash someone for either liking or hating the film. It appears that they have not seen the film, write a quick description of the story and say it is either very good or very bad and that no one should watch it. I'm not going to waste my time reporting ridiculous childish stuff like this, but as this has been more noticeable to me (a long time user with over 7500 reviews), it is rather irritating to scan through obvious phony reviews just so someone can either bash serious users or increase their account through phony reviews.
