Monster High: The Movie (2022)

Has the policy changed in terms of on-screen titles having primacy?  I corrected the title to Monster High and uploaded a screen grab of the title scene and changed Monster High: The Movie to an alternate title labeled promotional title, but it wasn't accepted.

Hi @scott_l1zxrc3yyo2sw -

Can we have your 18-digit submission reference to check?

Thanks!

@scott_l1zxrc3yyo2sw Hi! I can see no evidence was attached, feel free to post it here and use the link to this thread as evidence in the comment section.

Cheers!

It's unclear how to attach the evidence. I don't see that as part of the form.  The title screen was submitted as an image.

@scott_l1zxrc3yyo2sw Hi!

Main poster does refer to the title as "Monster High: The Movie", reason why the change was not accepted.

Thanks!

@Bethanny

Regarding the original title, which can be edited with a title correction:

We use the original title of a movie/show in its original language as it appears on screen (on the title card) in the opening credits. So all alternative titles found on posters, DVD boxes, reference books, trailers, websites, re-releases, etc. are irrelevant.

That would have been a good link to include as evidence for a title correction.

@Peter_pbn Where does the form allow for attachments?  I have never been able to find it.

It doesn't, but the explanation field can include URLs like the one you posted above.

IMDb's attachment feature may also work, although title corrections are not one of the stated submission types:

Hi @scott_l1zxrc3yyo2sw -

The original title text has been corrected to "Monster High" and the changes should be live on the site shortly.
