Michael York in Spaceballs

There's this rumor that Michael York (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001868/) was an ape in Spaceballs (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094012/). York has denied it (see him say it himself at about 49 minutes into this interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-GaSzO80iGo where he even says he tried to get rid of it himself) but it keeps coming back on IMDB.

I've deleted the credit a few times, but I saw a while ago it had been put back again. I could just try to delete it again, but is it possible that the credit gets locked, so York can't get put back in?

I've learned from all these years being a contributor on IMDB that once something gets put somewhere online, you can try correcting it and delete a credit or a trivia section, but because the info has been taken over on so many other sites people will just keep re-adding it. To add to that, I can't tell you how many times I've had trouble with correcting a mistake like this, only to get it declined, even with a source. I have to wonder in cases like this, what "source" do people have for adding York as an ape in Spaceballs that is so much more believable than a video of York himself denying he was in it?
