Merging Two Events Into One

Is it possible to MERGE two listed events (it is the same film festival, but listed by mistake twice)? If it's possible, and they get merged, is it going to keep all current data as is (the award winner names and titles that existed under both events)? We would like to merge, but don't want to delete all data from previous years. The festival in question is called "The International Horror Hotel".
