Perfect! I have check those 2 submissions as well and I have already approved the first one. As per the second one, it was giving me an error but that's because a merge had been approved earlier today for those 2 other name pages as well. The changes will be live shortly. 

In regards to your second question, we have enabled track contribution on certain submission types, but there are still some where this is not available yet which is why it appears like that for titles (merges, corrections).

Are you sure there is an email notification at that point? I have never received an email like that.

Instead, to check a previously submitted merger, I have to keep checking the data links themselves, since these links don't track mergers very well.

It will depend, however, I can check the status of the submission for you. Is the reference number that one for "American Experience Taken Hostage" (2022)?

You can tell from the Processing times stats that there are no pending title merge requests more than a day old.

I can't believe I forgot all about that page, seeing as it is the most important in regard to entry merges.

@Maya I'm trying to place the two episode documentary Taken Hostage as two episodes of American Experience on PBS. Did I not do enough?

I don't know. Maybe somebody employed there is feeling salty about a contributor preparing to cost the company half of a double IMDbPro subscription? Haha. One time I did that, and then suddenly numerous subsequent contributions of mine were seemingly automatically declined, and that went on for months, until I complained. SMH.

You should report here after the first time any submission is declined, rather than re-submitting multiple times, Ben Hampel.

I prefer to ask @Michelle and @Maya for help as a last resort. Usually the second try with a screen grab gets things done. Sometimes I can do a long ass list from a documentary and all get approved the first time. Then the next documentary I do a lot gets declined. It's just time consuming to add the screen grabs for every submission. Regardless, Michelle and Maya have be nice to me and I don't want to abuse that. It's 3:30 AM where I am. Are you up late or in a different time zone? :)

I'm in the same time zone as you apparently, Ben Hampel. I usually don't hesitate to come here to complain if I've done everything right when contributing to the database, but only if I choose to do a follow up. The way I see it: if a contributor's inquiry here is an inconvenience to the IMDb data editors here, then those editors will make such a fact clear or assign somebody to answer on their behalves. I see no reason for them to not be forthcoming about something like that.

I have checked all of these submissions and have approved all the ones for name merges. 

Now, for the birthdate addition submission and for the crew credits deletions, these were not accepted because of the supporting evidence provided.

For birthdates, we are looking for links to public records, printed publications, social media or official documents (driver's license, birth certificates, passports). Something important to note is that we do not accept evidence from unverifiable sources. 

As per the crew credit deletion requests, you will have to attach as much supporting evidence on the explanation box when you are filling out the information as our editors need to thoroughly review and verify all of it. In this case reliable sources or a screengrab of the end credits for these titles.
