many credits under wrong actor

My dilemma: I know (absolutely, for sure) that the actor James Cole (1925-2010, nm0170581) is not the actor who played Cicely Tyson's son, Max Kelly in The Courtship of Eddie's Father (1969) - but I can't find for sure who IS the actor who played the boy. (There are upwards of 50 "James Cole" entries in IMDb - see, for example, James Cole (XLVII).) I hesitate to add another, but the ". . . Eddie's Father" entries for nm0170581 are definitely wrong. Evidence: Cicely Tyson's son, Max Kelly, Eddie's school pal in episodes, was played by a boy about Eddie's age - 8 or 9. Oh, yes, and he was black, while James Cole (1925-2010, nm0170581) was white. That (older, deceased) actor has two other credits in IMDb - as for those, I have no idea if they are correct or not. I can't solve this problem. The only further evidence I have is that the James Cole who played Max Kelly, Eddie's friend, was in Academy Players Directory from 1969-1978 (see included image). As a contributor, I'm out of my league here (mostly because I can't verify which James Cole to move the credits to, and am uncomfortable adding a new actor to the already-crowded "James Cole" group!). IMDb staff, it's your call.
