Manual Review Request: Evidence provided for new 2026 title submission

Hi @Bethany and @Michelle,

I am reaching out to request a manual review for a new title submission (2026 release) that has been declined multiple times despite providing significant verification.

Contribution Reference #:#260103-170520-025000

I have already provided the following in my previous attempts:

  • A link to the official production website.

  • Access to a secure, password-protected screener that clearly displays the 2026 production date.

  • Footage/materials featuring the attached cast members discussing their involvement.

  • And in this recent contribution link, which I just submitted, a PDF print on the MovieWeb link which showcases the 2026 date.

Because this project is currently in a sensitive stage of production, I am hesitant to post specific details or links here on the public forum. However, all the necessary proof is attached to the contribution ID mentioned above.

Could you please take a look at the evidence provided in that submission and let me know if there is a specific piece of documentation I am missing, or if this can be manually approved?

On a side note, we had asked that the prior title from 2023 be changed to reflect the fact that it is a Festival Cut, which we had submitted as well. We assume that had been rejected as well and can share that info too.

Thank you for your help!

I am requesting a manual review of a title correction that was recently declined. Due to the sensitive nature of the project’s current distribution and its upcoming release, I do not want to share the specific title or production details here on the public forum.  Contribution Reference #251230-041026-240000 The core issue is a conflict between a limited 2023 exhibition and the official 2026 version. This is causing significant commercial confusion for our partners. I am asking for an editor to manually review the "Comments" section of that contribution and apply the requested attributes to help us distinguish these two versions. We also have proof that we can send pertaining to the name Festival Cut in video links if need be. Thank you for your help and for respecting the privacy of this project. Note: This comment was created from a merged conversation Link : https://community-imdb.sprinklr.com/conversations/data-issues-policy-discussions/manual-title-correction-distinguishing-festival-cut-2023-from-2026-official-release/69595813d1d7fd7bbb947c33 Title : Manual Title Correction: Distinguishing "Festival Cut" (2023) from 2026 Official Release

Hi northforkwed33-

Thank you for possting the reference number! After further investigating and reviewing, this title has been approved and the changes wil be live on the site shortly.

As per the second submission for the title correction, you can submit an alternative title (AKA) with the respective 'festival title' attribute through the contribution form.

For further detailed information, you can review our following Help Guide, you can look on section C. Attribute definitions under point #7.

Cheers!

@Maya Thank you for your help with the 2026 version. I did notice our star name S.D. wasn't included. Was that rejected?

RE: 2023 cut. While I understand the suggestion to use the 'festival title' attribute, the 2023 release is marketed and officially titled as '(film title): Festival Cut'. In this case, 'Festival Cut' is not merely a descriptive attribute of where it screened, but an integral part of the film's formal title for this specific version. Standardizing it as an 'aka' would be inaccurate for users searching for this specific 2023 release. I am requesting a primary title correction to reflect the official branding used in the credits and promotional materials. I can resubmit with proof if IMDb would prefer that, or I can post here and delete post once it's updated officially?

@northforkwed33- You're welcome! These were already approved and will be live shortly.

As per the 2023 title, you can go ahead and re-submit it and include all the evidence necessary for our editors to take another look.

As requested, I have proof of the name of the film being Festival Cut attached to the end of the title and it was rejected. The proof is from March 2023 and the screening of it was March 11, 2023 as seen in the submission. I am unsure as to why it was rejected. Can you please help make this go through so we can have it be he offiical name?  ID: #260107-024239-812000

Festival Cut' is not merely a descriptive attribute of where it screened, but an integral part of the film's formal title for this specific version.

Hi,

We would need the main big title to be changed. There's a small note under it. The point of proving that it is Festival Cut is so that we can help separate it and have other places update their pages since they are going by the IMDb. Please help us ensure it says it for the main title and not under it. It is important for public understanding and distribution moving forward.

@Maya Just to confirm, that the title under the main will replace the main title, correct? Current it has it as the main title and then under it says: Original title: ______ Festival Cut.

If so, thank you!
