LUX Prize

1. There is a two-stage gradation in the award of the European Parliament. The first stage is selected by 10 film finalists. Then already 3 films receive the status of official selection, which is equivalent to a nomination. The winner is selected from three films.

Here's an example from 2018: https://luxprize.eu/previous-editions/2018

What is the correct way to display this award in IMDb?
https://www.imdb.com/event/ev0001957/overview/

Now both the finalists and the official selection are listed on the awards page. Which of these will be correct? Include all 10 films, assigning one to the status of a winner, to indicate others as nominees, and to attribute those that did not make it into the top three as "finalists" in the

additional information?

2. The European Film Academy recently announced that the Lux Awards and the EFA Audience Awards will be merged starting this year.

Where will this award be correctly displayed in EFA or LUX?

Hey there - just wanted to let you know I'm looking into this and will get back to you ASAP. Sorry I've left you hanging so long, I thought I had commented this previously.

@Grayson , anyway I added 3 films  listed as Official Competition. Removed the "Best Composer" section that had appeared from nowhere (it was probably mistakenly added by someone in one of the award years). The issue of merging the two awards into one remained unresolved. Judging from the publications on the site, the award ceremony will be held in the European Parliament and, logically, the award will be more suitable for LUX.

By the way, something similar is observed in the Student Academy Awards. The whole problem is that the list of finalists is published first. And already at this stage, contributions to the base begin. Then the list is narrowed down, and the winners of the Gold, Silver and Bronze medals of the award are announced in the final. At the moment, there is real chaos in the student award database.

Hey @den_budanov just to clarify here is our official answer:

1. Only the finalists count. As others have said official selection does not equal a nomination according to our awards rules.

2. If the Lux Prize will now be given at the EFA audience awards then from now on you should submit the Lux Prize as an award to the EFA event. As the Lux Awards no longer exist as an event no awards should be linked to it.
