Locking my imdb profile so no one else can make an edit except me

Hi, I'm not a staff member, hopefully they'll respond soon and stop the person submitting the false data. But I did look at your page the other day and know the things you mention were not there, so I have submitted deletions to the 'self' credits which have been approved and should be gone, I also applied to delete that quote which is currently pending.

Oh I meant I knew the Self credits and Quote were recently falsely added because they weren't there a couple of days ago, that's why I submitted deletions, I knew your claim was truthful and they were obviously put there to make you look bad, sorry if I wasn't totally clear. I only delete data I know for sure is incorrect.

I can tell you that IMDb accounts cannot be locked, the pages do not have that facility but IMDb staff should stop whoever is defacing your page and credits especially fake quotes that could damage your career. I hope that happens for you as soon as possible.

Gonna assume the 3 actor credits that appeared in last few hours are more fake credits but not going to delete them to you confirm they are. See picture.

@VonPunk I am not sure why IMDb doesn’t take it a little seriously. This can hamper someone’s image if a new person sees it

Tell them what is happening and you can even link this thread in the explanation. You should get a response within 24 hours. Hopefully they'll block the contributor from submitting again.
I have submitted 3 deletions to those actor credits and thy should be gone now.
The submission for the Quote is still pending sadly, things move slower at the weekend.

Also due to the fake credits containing 'Salesman', a frequent character name by this troll, it confirms that these recently added, massively suspect credits moved to another page are indeed false, so this profile page should be deleted: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm13149883/

Someone is doing the same to me. His name is Ryan J. Gilmerhttps://www.imdb.com/name/nm4431318/.His account should be taken down he makes false claims constantly.  I have faced harassment from this guy on multiple occasions. I have also wanted to take legal action against IMDB for him creating and taking down IMDB accounts how is this even legal? And, press charges on him for using things without my permission. 

How does IMDB allow this to happen? My account has been compromised.  

Here is an account he created as fake and put my name on it.  

I wish for Idmb to erase anything with Ryan J. Gilmer I do not want to be associated with him at all. Can you please remove him on my jackpot page?

Isn't it illegal to take imdb pages down? I don't know how this guy does it? He's an annoyance in the film industry and community.

@nelliepants  Oh Wow! Thank you so much! Is there any way to remove his page or take his name off Jackpot as a writer completely? I really don't want any association with this guy. He is bad news in our film community. He somehow got YouTube to do the same last year. Caused a lot of headaches for me.

@ryan_j_gilmer  you sure like to make yourself look like a victim. You might have 1 account but we all know it's your doing this.  The entire film community knows what you do Ryan. it's not rocket science. Take down Jackpot on your YouTube and I will do the same that way we have no association with one another. that's all i ask and for this to end you don't have permission from me to use it.

Glad to help, I can't believe your page has been defaced again so massively less than 24 hours after steps were taken to stop it.
It's obvious, he kept the old submissions and resubmitted them after they were removed so they would show up again.

I'll let the staff take care of this one, I think it'd take me ages to delete nearly 600 things just for them to pop straight back up tomorrow.

This troll needs IP banning and all their additions deleting and their changes reverted back what they should be.

is it possible to delete all submissions that were made after 18th october?

While they are taking too long to fix this is in my opinion, I'm positive they will do so.

I can see 36 major additions to your visual effects section as well other changes.

If the person doing this has their own IMDb page, the joke will be on them when they can't add anything to IMDb anymore. Maybe they are your jealous biggest fan or just have an empty life, I almost feel sorry for them but not quite.

Hoping for a return to business as normal here for you quickly.

Interestingly, I have a hunch who that person is. If imdb can confirm the ip address where its coming from, I would be fairly certain who it is. 

I think almost all my credits have been altered now. Even the ones that i was currently giving evidence for. I just dont understand how imdb works. I would rather have my page completely deleted than have trolled so much

Unfortunately they can't give out that data but they can stop them, they do consider this their data rather than yours, so it's in their own interests to restore your page back to it's truthful self , I can only assume Michelle submitted your page for extra protection but it's not gone through their system yet to the button pushers. Hopefully she will follow up soon and get it all restored.
 

@vdh Sorry to hear it's still a problem. What response did the staff give you from the contact page?

It seems increasingly obvious the site is just compromised to trolls, bots and people who do not care to accurately contribute more than I've ever seen it and there is not enough staff and time to combat it all. I hope they are having a big think about how to go forward with the site and protecting it's data in the future.

@vdh Well at least it sounds like it's on their radar to fix, they should've marked this thread 'acknowledged'. It's just a waiting game now, hopefully sooner rather than later. Hang in there, that troll is a weakling that can't get the best of you.
