Location form suggest Locations that does not exist in the database?

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt38574422/ edit Filming locations enter Thirsk Check the updates Select "Skipton Grange Farm, Thirsk YO7 4SD, United Kingdom" from the list add Location on attribute Re-check all is fine Submit But now it says: "'Skipton Grange Farm, Thirsk YO7 4SD, UK' is not one of the existing locations we have in this section." How can IMDb suggest a location that does not exist?

PS: I got the same error message when first creating the title page, and when trying again to enter it now after the page is live.

When you add a location that does not exist in the database it will offer you potential alternate locations.The very last one will be “add this a new location”. Select that one and the system should accept it.

It does exist since it's listed here: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13090540/locations/?ref_=tt_dt_loc So the error is more that the form says it is not one of the existing locations. Also, the location entry should really be formatted differently. The guidelines specifically say not to include zip/area code or PO box information. The most common formatting would be Skipton Grange Farm, Thirsk, North Yorkshire, England, UK You say you just entered Thirsk, so if you just want to add the town, you could have selected the first listed option: Thirsk, North Yorkshire, England, UK

Thanks for the useful info :-) Yes exactly, the problem is that I can't select the existing location :-) I agree that the formatig is badly, but better to use the existing than to create a new one, a new one will not make a list of all the productions that are being done there. I want the farm, I only searched for "Thirsk" to be able to find the existing one, I almost always don't find the existing locations if i search by to many words :-( If i search for "Skipton Grange Farm" the system will not find it, if i search for only "Thirsk" I find it, so the search system is quite bad also...

Hi kristin - Thanks @Peter_pbn & Skip for the additional guidance. Concerning the form error: "...is not one of the existing locations we have in this section.", I have reported this bug to our tech team to investigate.

Hello again, same fault senario in keywords as in location: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt33268735 edit Keywords Add 1 item plot detail flash-back check = 'flash-back' is not one of the existing keywords we have in this section. enter instead: flash-backs Re-check "'flash-backs' is not one of the existing keywords we have in this section. Did you mean one of these?" I then select "flash-back" from the list Re-check = 'flash-back' is not one of the existing keywords we have in this section. So IMDb both suggest the Keyword, and say it does not exist at the same time... I later on added flashback in one word, and that got excepted, but "flashback" in one word was not among the suggestions IMDb gave so that is also strange.
