Listing writing credits

Am I able to list my writing credits? I have written a good number of screenplays, and I'm optioned for five. Can I list them myself?

Aktor: Possibly, although it's not guaranteed.

If you are dealing with a film that is in development but not yet at the pre-production stage, the film can be submitted for listing, but only by someone with an IMDbPro subscription. If you have such a subscription, you can submit the film yourself, or if you can find someone else who does, they can submit the film for listing for you.

The person who submits the film for listing as an in-development title should include your name as a writer when they make the submission.

The new title data submission form for an in-development title starts at the same page as for an in-production or released title (https://contribute.imdb.com/updates/edit?update=title), but the required data for an in-development title is different. For an in-development title, you would need to provide the following information:

  • Production/Development Status
  • Genre
  • Plot Outline
  • Country of Origin

and at least two of the following four items:

  • Writer
  • Producer
  • Production Company
  • Miscellaneous Link

As usual, the data submission will have to pass the IMDb editors, so I recommend providing as much information as possible in the new title submission.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

@gromit82 thank you for clearing that up. So, I put the name of the studio and myself being the writer. Stars, indevelopment. Country of origin-USA Genre, dark thriller/ horror. And plot outline. Is that all I need?
