listed names of actor/actresses
so, I noticed that Ellen/Elliot Page listings do not carry the normal "as Ellen Page" listing under all of their works that were done while they were still using Ellen Page.
I find this VERY strange since you do list other popular celebrities who have gone by different names with that. If we are going to be politically neutral on the issue, you should be listing all of the Ellen Page roles as "As Ellen Page" on your site to be consistent with how you've always handled all other people who've used more than one name.
Thanks

If you search IMDb for Ellen Page, you won't find the page for Elliot Page, even though Elliot has made quite some films under the name Ellen Page. Is this helpful for the customers of IMDb? I don't think so. Especially for those (and obviously their number will only grow in the future) that honestly don't know Elliot Page used to work under the name Ellen Page.
Obviously Page is a very well known person, but what if IMDb has also allowed this for other people? It will be hard to find some people in the database. Also, IMDb risks pages being duplicated because a contributor might think a person wasn't in the database yet.
Oh, well.

I agree - it's not helpful or truthful OR even-handed to obscure this public information. "As Ellen Page" does show up on the works' pages, so it's in there, but it is an erasure of historical fact (something which imdb policy claims to be against) not to include it on the actor page, and confusing to not include the older name in search results, especially for people who don't study everyone's transition. I have a TG identity but still take this stance.
(I wondered if the page wasn't showing anything else because all credits were still as Ellen and there was nothing to be an exception to, but some new titles do seem to be as Elliot, so that may explain nothing!)

Hi All -
To help clarify, our current policy is that upon verified requests, an individual may choose to remove the display of all alternate names next to credits on their IMDb name page.
For more information about this policy I encourage you to review our Help Article.
Cheers!
