Listed Credit Should Be Something Obvious To Them
Hello,
I am not sure if this is possible based on the formula IMDB uses, but I have noticed that even if someone has 70 credits in "Self" and 1 credit as an "Actor" when you go to add them to an episode it is going to show their name with Actor, and the movie title beneath it.
This doesn't seem like the best way to go as it can be hard to find people. I've seen this sometimes with people who are actors and their listed credit when you search for them will be Writer or Producer.
As I said this probably has to do with how IMDB is scripted, but is there any way if there is an overwhelming number of credits in a different category for "Actor" to not be the listed one?
I say this as someone who updates a lot of the political shows. Many politicians have generic names so if you see an acting credit it might be hard to find them, but if you see a talk show it would be easy to know that is the one you are looking for.
