To help provide some further insight -

An IMDb name page, such as: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1000000/

is the page listing an individual's filmography, biography, trivia, and news.

Where the Your Activity page, such as: http://www.imdb.com/user/ur1000000/

is the page listing an IMDb user's ratings, lists, and badges - every registered IMDb account will have one of these.

If you have both a /name/ and a /user/ page then these can be linked by claiming your page, this will allow you to add photos, demo reels and contact information.

You do not need to link these pages to add credits, however you cannot add credits to a profile page. If you do not have a name page you will need to submit these via our contribution form which will create one for you - instructions on how to do so can be found in our credit guide.
