Latest episode of Re:Zero and entire Re:Zero getting review bombed and targeted by other anime fandoms.
Hello IMDb Staff,
I am asking IMDb Staff to review the voting activity of all Re:Zero episodes, particularly the sudden increases in 1/10 ratings.
Since that date, numerous episodes from different seasons have received sudden and disproportionate increases in 1/10 votes. Several episodes that had maintained relatively stable ratings for long periods experienced noticeable drops within short periods of time.
The suspicious pattern includes:
- Sudden increases in 1/10 votes across numerous Re episodes
- Episodes from multiple seasons being affected at similar or different times
- Repeated rating drops occurring on multiple dates since August 22, 2026
- Previously stable episodes suddenly receiving unusually high numbers of minimum-score votes
- Highly rated episodes throughout the series being affected, rather than only one particular episode
- Similar patterns of 1/10 voting appearing across multiple episodes
- Social-media discussions encouraging, organizing, or celebrating intentional low-rating campaigns against Re:Zero
I have also seen discussions involving individual accounts identifying themselves as fans of other anime series, including Bleach and Mushoku Tensei, where intentional low ratings against Re were discussed or encouraged. I am not claiming that either fandom as a whole is responsible. I am referring only to specific accounts and communities where this behavior has been discussed.
Because the issue appears to affect many episodes throughout the series, I respectfully ask IMDb Staff to investigate the 1/10 voting history and voting patterns of all Re:Zero episodes from August 22, 2026 onward.
In particular, I would appreciate it if IMDb could determine whether these 1/10 votes show signs of coordinated, duplicate, automated, newly created-account, or otherwise abnormal voting behavior.
I can provide supporting evidence, including:
- Before-and-after rating screenshots
- Rating-distribution screenshots showing increases in 1/10 votes
- Dates and approximate times of significant rating changes
- Examples involving episodes from multiple seasons
- Screenshots or links showing discussions of intentional review bombing
I understand that IMDb uses weighted ratings and internal systems designed to detect unusual voting activity. I am not requesting that IMDb manually restore any episode to a particular score.
I am specifically requesting an investigation into the repeated and ongoing series-wide pattern of suspicious 1/10 voting across Re:Zero episodes.
Thank you for reviewing this matter.
