Kingdom Hearts HD II.8 Cast listing

I need help to update this casting. For some reason in the past two months I asked that this small section that had Ray Chase was not among the cast of English actor and said with this:

"He was listed out of order from the English cast."

Original: https://contribute.imdb.com/updates/update?load=181021-143452-786000

However, I still keep on seeing this without any update please help have this section updated!!

Hi Ernesto -

I understand that you are trying to add the credit order number for Mr. Chases' credit on "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue".   Please post a screen grab of the on-screen credits and post it here for our staff to review.  Thanks!

I'm unable to find a screen grab of the On screen credits. However, this site will have the information, if you click on the Green Checkmark it displays the on-screen credits.

Hope this helps.

Just out of curiosity. I believe ”Kingdom Hearts HD” releases are actually remastered versions of ”existing” games. Meaning, that are they even eligible for IMDb? Or are they basically ”alternate versions” of some older game?

Now I’m not saying what is the correct approach, but it happens a lot in the world of video games that a new version/remaster/remake etc is released (especially with the Japanese RPGs and such). When some release is a ”new game” and when ”alternate version”?

Edit: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingd...

””Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue” - stylized ”Kingdom Hearts HD II.8 Final Chapter Prologue” is a collection of the Kingdom Hearts series.”

I don't think they need to be removed. While yes they are remastered versions of previous KH games some of the other ones such as the cinematic cutscenes of 358/2 Days, Re: Coded, and X Back Cover, and 0.2 Birth By Sleep all featured new dialogue and voices

So I don't think it makes sense to separate them into different titles.

Hi Eboy,

We agree, it looks like there was a lot of additional content with this remaster and Birth By Sleep was a brand new game therefore it deserves it's own title page.

Will

Will, I don't think they need to be removed and have it's own title page.

Even though they are remastered versions of the previous KH games some of the other ones featured in the collections that include the cinematic cutscenes of 358/2 Days, Re: Coded, X Back Cover, and the game, 0.2 Birth By Sleep all featured new dialogue and voices

So I don't think it makes sense to separate them into different titles.

Like I originally implied, I wasn’t sure what to make of this release (re-release). I know a fair share of video games, but JRPG is not very close to my heart. So I can’t really say what’s the correct appoach. But I do know that many of these video games are being re-released/remastered/being remade. IMDb should be cautious, that’s all.

But generally new dialogue/voices is not enough to warrant a new release. I believe the IMDb rules are the same (or very similar, at least) for video games as they’re for films and TV. Meaning, that a new ”cut/version” of the film goes to Alternate versions - even when there are new scenes/actors/etc.

Like I said, I don't think it makes sense to separate them into different titles. Nor does it make sense to move them to the previous IMDB title pages of the Kingdom Hearts page, for example putting in Ben Diskin (Young Xehanort) and James Patrick Stuart's name's in the Re: Coded title section cause while yes the cutscene which features them is from Re: Coded that scene wasn't in the original game and was included as a new scene in the II.5 collection as it served as a connection to Coded and Dream Drop Distance. Or even putting in Bret Iwan's name and Corey Burton (Ansem/DiZ) name in the 358/2 Days section.

Hi Ernesto,

You seem to have more knowledge here, wasn't Birth By Sleep released solely on this version? How big is this game? Did they build the other remastered games from the ground-up or was it literally just a remaster?

Which Birth by Sleep?

If you're referring to the original Birth By Sleep then that's on the II.5 ReMix and the only thing new was Willa Holland recording new dialogue for the Fragmentary Passage Secret Episode.

Regarding the rest of the games they are just remastered, although some of them such as Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix do feature new cutscenes that weren't in the original final mix in Japan and the cinematic movies for 358/2 Days, Re: Coded, X Back Cover do feature new lines of dialogue.

Hi Ernesto -
Thanks for the additional details you provided, based on this information these would be considered versions of the existing title and should be added to the Alternate Versions section (a new title page should not be created in this case).  Cheers!

I still continue to see the credits be jumbled up and I have to update it 7 thousand times to have it in the correct order, but I just continue to see the cast listing all mixed up again. Please Help I've been updating this page but I continue to see it be in this jumbled mess:

Hi ernesto_chacon -

To clarify, you are referring to the video game title page for "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue", is that correct?

To help our staff verify the correct cast order, you will need to provide further evidence to help verify your corrections, such as a screen grab of the full on-screen cast end-credits on the game.  For detailed information on how to provide credit evidence I encourage you to review our Help Guide.

Once the updates have been re-submitted with evidence our editors will take another look.

Cheers!
