Keywords - Category?
Hi.
I rarely add any keywords other than the "special" ones. With music videos, you need to add the "music-video" keyword. Now there are some "Category" options which are a bit confusing to me. Which one I have to choose with "music-video"? Maybe this info could be added to the "music video" guide also? ( https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/titles/submitting-podcasts-commercials-or-music-videos/G75CJL7UUDSWV7U5# )
Thanks.

Hello there,
Here is IMDb's help article on keywords, which may be useful here.

As far as music videos go, probably the most important keywords will be Subgenre keywords describing the type of music. Currently, only certain music-related keywords are accepted as Subgenre keywords:
Other than that, you can use Plot keywords to describe the type of singer or band, like "pop-singer" or "metal-band," plus any plot themes and characters in the video, etc.
p.s. This recent post discusses the new keyword categories and how they should be used:

I only add ”music-video” keyword with music videos, since that’s what the guide says.
But what category should I choose (which is a ”new” option), I’m confused about that: “Subgenres”, “Plot Timeframes”, “Plot Details”, or “Other”? This was my original question (but thanks for the info about sub genres etc).
