@agof  Sorry to hear about the episodes problem.  Your last post was not deleted though -- it was moved into the feedback thread for the title/episodes update (and this post will be moved there shortly) -> https://community-imdb.sprinklr.com/conversations/imdbcom/imdb-title-subpage-redesign-faq-tv-episodes/64c2ad8cc2f32a2d3175d7b3?commentId=65448b66fe2dd467ced4a545

I am unsure why it was not yet answered on the other thread, sorry.

It sounds like there might be a local problem interfering with the operation of the page, so first please see the steps outlined in https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/common-issues/why-is-imdb-displaying-differently-on-my-browser/GF2ZAR69V859XLHF and particularly see the points on disabling ad blockers and VPNs, plus trying another network if possible.

If this does not solve the problem, please can you provide 2-3 example titles where you are seeing the issue and we can then investigate.

Thanks and once again sorry for the delayed reply.

No. It is not a local problem.

Have you actually taken the time to confirm that https://www.imdb.com/title/tt15532826/episodes/?year=2023 is working exactly as intended, Col Needham? When I click the "more" button the first time, it only loads one more item and decrements the indicator as to how many are remaining for the click of the next "more" button. Capisce?

@jeorj_euler Thanks for the example, which is what we needed to report and (later) diagnose the problem.  We have opened a ticket with the appropriate team.

We will keep this as a separate thread for easier tracking purposes.

O, good. We should forgive agof for being so cryptic or vague, for lack of a better word. Took me a little bit of work to figure out which exact page was the subject of the complaint.

@jeorj_euler well it was not an exact page this same issue is on every page. "more" not showing everything, and when working it shows episodes out of chronological order. it's a site-wide issue

@Col_Needham i'll add more examples when i stumble upon them again.

also previously the episode list had one button solution to add episode image, now i have to open the episode every time, then try to find add photos button that also was moved away and made tiny. so no fast adding of images. and the album button doesn't open all images but only a random image full screen

@agof Thanks -- the example we now have ought to be enough to locate and fix the issue.

Thanks for the feedback on the add episode image -- it is not the most common action, but we will flag this to the team for consideration.

@agof  This aspect of the problem as also been fixed and your example links above should all now work correctly.  Thanks again for the problem report and sorry for the inconvenience.

@jeorj_euler i don't want to add duplicate entries so every time i check if there is an episode at the same date. and with skinner box algorithm youtubers change the titles of their videos several times in the first month

and not just youtubers south park did change many titles last year retroactively. streaming services rename feature length movies several times too

That's a good point. Until the bug is fixed, contributors might have to fumble around with looking at https://www.imdb.com/search/title/?series=tt15532826&sort=release_date,asc while visiting https://contribute.imdb.com/updates?update=episode&parent=tt15532826,  whereby tt15532826 (Brain Blaze) is merely an example, and the "tt15532826" could be exchanged with different tconst.

Thanks to the example from @jeorj_euler, a ticket has been opened (reference #P105069385) and the appropriate team will take a look at this shortly.

Sorry for any inconvenience in the meantime.

Hello, I'd like to provide you with another example of a "more" bug.

This page lists only a fraction of the episodes with an unknown date:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106113/episodes/?year=Unknown

There should be many more episodes listed, as you can find out by clicking the last listed episode, then clicking "next" from the episode page.

After Episode #1.60, you'll find:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13285192/

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13285198/

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13285200/

etc...

There should be a "more" button but there is none.

@pascal_baspeyras Thanks for the examples.  This is a slightly different (yet related) case so we have updated the ticket with the details.

@agof / @jeorj_euler  Some progress on this.  We have fixed the "50 more" and "all" links for cases like https://www.imdb.com/title/tt15532826/episodes/?season=Unknown however, we see the episodes are sorted alphabetically by episode title when there are no episode numbers, whereas they should be sorted by release date.  The ticket has been amended accordingly.

@jeorj_euler The case of https://www.imdb.com/title/tt15532826/episodes/?year=2023 is still being investigated as the underlying issue is different.

Thanks again for the examples.

Here's another bug, hopefully it's the right place to report it:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5569404/

This series is displayed as being from 2022 but when you look at the "Browse episodes" section it has a link to the year 2023 because the 6 episodes actually aired in 2023.

If you look at the reference page:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5569404/reference

It's even worse because it displays a link to the year 2022 which is an empty page:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5569404/episodes?year=2022

@pascal_baspeyras This is not a bug as such.  It is likely data coverage for your country. The show first aired in Austria in 2022, hence the date on the main title page. Everywhere else it seems to have been released in January 2023. If your settings match any of the supported countries in the language menu in the upper right of the page, for example, “English (United States)” then if you start at https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5569404/episodes/?season=1 you should see 2023 dates next to each episode. If you click the “Years” tab there, you should only see 2023.

In which country are you located and/or what are your setting on https://www.imdb.com/preferences/general

The title/reference issue is separate problem.  For technical reasons we are unable to fix bugs on this page any longer, sorry.

@Col_Needham Everything is as you describe... So you say that "it's not a bug as such" but I'm afraid that it looks very much like a bug when a 2022 series has all its episodes aired in 2023. If I understand your answer, the airing date depends on my locality? I didn't know about that. That sounds like a bad idea, terribly confusing. For movies, the release date is when the movie was first released somewhere, then we have the possibility to look up the various release dates for the various countries. Unfortunately we don't have access to that kind of information for the series episodes. I've tried changing my language setting, I found no way to see the Austria airing dates. In my opinion, either the series should be dated 2023, either we should see the Austria airing dates.

@pascal_baspeyras The release dates are on the release dates subpage. For example, for S1.E1 of this series -> https://www.imdb.com/title/tt14579702/releaseinfo/

You can access all of the international release dates from the “All topics” menu in the upper right of the title page (although it appears from previous replies that you might be opted-in to reference view so will need to switch to the regular view via https://www.imdb.com/preferences/general first) or by clicking the “>” to the right of the release dates line in the “Details” section of the page (again regular view):

Hope this helps.

Here's a weird bug that I'm experiencing with the English / United States setting:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0891396/episodes/?year=2012

When I click the "14 more" button to display the remaining episodes, only 9 episodes are added and they are episodes that were already listed above. There's now a "5 more" button and nothing happens when I click it.

Hi @pascal_baspeyras -

We also have a ticket filed for this title as well (#P116316332).

Thanks again!

Sometimes when there's a "50 more" button to display the remaining episodes, you click it but it doesn't add the expected number of episodes and what it adds are in fact episodes that were already listed just above and are now duplicates. Finally a new More Button is shown but when you click it nothing happens...

Here are some pages where that bug occurs (my language setting is English / United States):

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0891396/episodes/?year=2012

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2604124/episodes/?year=2016
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2604124/episodes/?year=2017
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2604124/episodes/?year=2018
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2604124/episodes/?year=2019
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2604124/episodes/?year=2020
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2604124/episodes/?year=2021
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2604124/episodes/?year=2022

Note: This comment was created from a merged conversation originally titled More Button from the Episodes Page sometimes has bugs
