Is there a way to add a title/film that has not been put on... IMDB in order to add an acting credit? I'm not the director/producer.
The director did not add their film to IMDB. Is it possible to add a film without being the director/producer?

Thank you, Adrian. I appreciate you. Yeah, okay - sounds good to me. I just added a title/film with the director's permission. I just messaged them asking but for my reference --- does the director (or the person that you select that has a profile) get sent an email to confirm or does imdb allow for it to go through without confirmation? I was able to get a hold of one director just now but I'm thinking I may not get a hold of all of them. Thanks for additional advice.

You do not need to contact anyone and IMDb does not inform anyone of the listings. IMDb is a cataloguing service and as such, needs no permission to lists things that are publicly available.
All you need is proof that the titles exist. That may mean you have to contact someone to get that information if the movies aren't accessible for IMDb to verify.

If you can provide enough information, you can add the title. I frequently add titles that are missing from IMDb. IMDb is pretty much crowdsourced, so information is updated by regular users.
