Is there a short cut to fork an imdb entry?

Just found out that one of my favorite TV mini series just has an imdb entry of the slashed TV movie version.

Is there a simple way to fork the existing entry of the TV movie into a TV mini series?

I couldn't find any hint in the imdb help section nor here nor any options in the contributor section, except that a new entry is needed (not alternate version).

FYI it is "Das Rätsel der Sandbank (1987)" which needs to be turned into the TV mini series of 1985 (crucial information at german Wikipedia and Fernsehserien (german TV series)) Almost everything is the same, except different release date (1985-10-11), 10 parts and a few changes of footage in the TV movie to avoid continuity errors.

Maybe an imdb editor can help here.

Fork, no. A title correction can be used to change the current page to a series, otherwise you would have to add a new title.

@Peter_pbn I could try a title correction, but that would not be correct as the TV Movie version really do exists and reviews really refer to this version and not the mini series. The difference is significant.

Adding a new title would mean to copy&paste by hand all the information already submitted and verified, and would have to be verified - by hand - again, instead just the difference. When I start editing a new title I am reminded of entries with similar titles and if I am to submit a duplicate of an existing entry. Here a fork option would make sense. Or a fork option when adding a title correction. Here I am reminded of three different option, but none is a fork option.

Well, maybe waiting for other ideas ... or an editor with privileged rights who can simply copy an imdb database entry and tweak it with the information provided. Knowledge of German language would be helpful.

@elvetritsch Hi! How was it originally released? Does it have added scenes? Different cast/crew? Can you give as little more information as well as any links if you have any?

Thanks!
