Is it just me or should a film only get a listing, at least a public isting if it gets a release?

Bar examples like say the Day the Clown Cried.

Because imdb is full of zombie listings, films like Robin Jacob's 1066 or Ms. Guidance or High Expectatoins or Hunger Rise of the Blood Moon - films listed as being in production for years but still left unupdated. Shouldn't these be regularly looked at and updated, and deleted if nothing happens?

Plus then there's films like Mark Redfield's the Sorcerer of Stonehenge School, the unfilmed 1965 Doctor and the Devil, the Aries Computer, the New Spartans, which all are listed as being released, but either failed to reach production or gave up after days of filming.

There needs to be a greater quality control at imdb.

I understand there being for promotion, but maybe they should be in their own separate section.

@Michelle I've been constantly turned down for Solus 2016, and Raejon Alford's Saturday 2020 and Blue 2016, the three of which the directors have told me were shelved, but imdb claim had evidence got released. But with Blue and Saturday, the proposed releases were cancelled as the films were perm. lost in a hard-drive crash.

The Shadows 2013 refused despite being in post production since 2013.

Ditto 2017's Ashleigh Coffelt's Secrets that we Keep.
